THE ASSOCIATION OF EUROPEAN JOURNALISTS CONDEMNS THE PROSECUTION OF THE ATHENS REVIEW OF BOOKS MAGAZINE

The Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs, on 24th of July, the day for celebrating the restoration of Democracy in Greece, pushed for the confiscation of the revenues and the bank accounts of Mrs. Maria Vasilaki, the editor of the monthly magazine Athens Review of Books, which is relevant with the international publication of New York.

Statement by the board of the AEJ

The board members of the AEJ met in Bratislava on July 8th-9th on the occasion of the start of Slovakias presidency of the European Union. The board expressed deep concern that the outcome of the referendum on UK-membership of the EU could lead to damaging divisions and harm mutual tolerance and understanding among the countries of Europe.

SUMMER UNIVERSITY - ANDROS 2015

The University of Ioannina and the Greek Section of the Association of European Journalists are pleased to announce the organization of a Summer University project, titled "Greece today: Language, Culture and Media". The academic action will take place in the summer of 2015 on the island of Andros and, specifically, from July 5th to July 12th, and July 12th to July 19th. The project falls under the aegis of the Research Committee of the University of Ioannina.
